How Indian SIM card on arrival works?
Are you arriving in India on e-Visa? If yes, probably you will be able to enjoy a free pre-paid mobile SIM card on arrival. This service was launched in early 2017; and a savvy business traveler must take advantage of this exciting facility. The service first rolled out in IGI Airport Delhi, but visitors will enjoy this facility in 15 other airports in India. Using this service is easy. There are designated counters at the airports where you will be asked for copies of your passport and your e-Visa. Once the e-Visa number is approved, you will receive an SMS that will activate the service accordingly. This free SIM card comes with free talk airtime of Rs.50 and about 50mb worth of data. After activation, the card will be valid for 30 days. If your e-Visa expires first, then this card will also expire. Be sure about your e-Visa expiry so that you are not caught unaware.
