The biggest mosque in Delhi and India is Jama Masjid, built during the time of the Mogul emperor Shah Jahan. The three enormous gates, the four corner towers and the two 40-meter minarets, built out of red sandstone, astonish by their wonderful architectural accomplishment.
The three gilded cupolas of the mosque Jama Masjid are towering over the facade of eleven oriels, above which there are slates out of white marble with inscriptions about the history of India. The view from the height of one of the minarets is delightful. Inside the mosque offers places for 900 worshipers, and in the main yard can be gathered 25 thousand worshippers.
